A study was done by Ronald Pero, PhD, who is the chief of cancer prevention research at
New York's Preventive Medicine Institute. In his 3-year study, he measured the immune systems of 107 people under chiropractic care for 5 years or more versus the immune systems of those in the general public not undergoing regular chiropractic care, some with cancer and underlying disease and some without cancer. "The chiropractic patients were found to have a 200% greater immune competence than those people who had not received chiropractic care, and they had 400% greater immune competence than those people with cancer and other serious diseases.
